Type 1 District was done for my Final Year Project, aiming to support & encourage the parents & children with Type 1 Diabetes, as well as to raise awareness & educate the public.
Not many people are aware of Type 1 Diabetes, and without the necessary support, it may negatively impact the lives of children with Type 1 Diabetes.
Type 1 District aims to build a community for children with Type 1 Diabetes. We hope to be able to provide the children with an enriching childhood, help them to accept their new lifestyle, as well as to raise more attention and awareness.
Objective 1: To raise awareness & educate the public
The website explains what Type 1 Diabetes is, read up on news, take part in events, and purchase merchandise (Profits go to helping poor families & funding Type 1 Diabetes Research).

Given out during sharing sessions & talks about T1D in primary schools to raise awareness and advertise the website.

Objective 2: To support both the child & parent
Given out in hospitals to patients with Type 1 Diabetes to help them in accepting their condition. Consists of items that provide support and ease management for both the parent & child.
A collection of short stories, whereby each character shares their personal journey with Type 1 Diabetes, and how they managed to overcome it and accept it in a positive manner.
The stress ball comes with various functions that helps the child manage his/her condition better.
Given out in hospitals to patients with Type 1 Diabetes to help them in accepting their condition. Consists of items that provide support and ease management for both the parent & child.
